The cut at tag feature allows you to split a long intro text into a shorter intro and some full text, to use it, you need to identify a tag at the place where you'll be cutting the text, the text will then be cutted at that position and the first part will go to the intro text, and the second part will go to the main text.
Actually there is no feature to remove content from the posts, you'll have to do it by hand...soon there will be a feature to remove the tags inside the text you get, and you'll be able to configure the tags that you want to have removed...but for now...only manually...
