Hello.. I've just installed feed2post today and have come across this same issue.
I tried editing the config file as described but no luck. I actually ended up with a blank page.

Then I realized there was a var $live_site=' ' on line 19 and tried entering the path there..no luck.. then only at the end..no luck. The link for the "Read Full Article" still does not contain the correct path.

Help Please!

The fix works with joomla 1.5, the problem is that this fix won't fix the already posted items, those are already joomla content, you'll have to manually edit the links and add the correct path.
The new posts will get the right url and work as expected.}
